Mike Blust presents “Spring Chickens and Rosy Finches” at Grace Congregational Church in Rutland, at 6:30. It’s not just about seeing them, but watching their performances as well. Out west, several species of Grouse and Prairie Chickens have elaborate courtship rituals in the early spring. Last April, my brother and I joined a trip to visit the display grounds of 5 species of western fowl, along with other western specialties such as the 3 species of Rosy Finches.
